After a lot of thought, Techie and I decided to rename the RebelChat IRC Network to the RPTN IRC Network since we believe the name has held us back from expanding for quite some time now.

The RebelChat IRC Network started in 1999 after things over on the ChatNet IRC Network were getting out of control. We rebelled away from IRC politics thus the name. In the last few years I was held back from using the network for various projects because of its name, and I know others have as well.

With this name change we will introduce a new service on the network called CB (Channel Bot), that [cHu] has been working on for the last year or so. It's currently getting ported from C to C++ and should be available for use on the network shortly.

For those asking yourself what RPTN stands for, well the short answer is, it can be anything you want it to be, but to me they're my initials. :)
